Account information

Email address, authentication records, display name, account role, preferences, and optional profile information.

Private workspace information

Content you choose to save, including Protocols, research questions, notes, Collections, followed compounds, comparisons, Stack work, reconstitution calculations, check-ins, and exports you request.

Community and support information

Contributions you intentionally submit, moderation records, feedback, bug reports, support messages, and related correspondence.

Technical information

Security logs, device and browser information, IP-derived information, page and feature interactions, error reports, and authentication cookies.

Payment information

Stripe processes payment details. Relay receives identifiers and billing status needed to connect a purchase to your account, such as customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, payment status, plan, renewal, refund, and dispute information. Relay does not receive or store your full card number.

How we use information

• Provide, secure, personalize, and troubleshoot Relay.
• Save and return you to your private research work.
• Process Relay+ access, billing, cancellation, refunds, and Founder recognition.
• Deliver account, security, research-update, and support communications.
• Moderate public contributions and prevent fraud, abuse, or unsafe activity.
• Understand aggregate product usage and improve reliability and comprehension.
• Comply with law and enforce Relay’s terms.

When information is shared

Relay uses service providers for hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, payments, deployment, security, and error monitoring. They receive information only as needed to provide those services under their own contractual and security obligations.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards. Relay does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and analytics

Relay uses essential browser storage and cookies for sign-in, security, saved interface state, and core operation. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is introduced later, this policy and any required choices will be updated before that use begins.

Retention and security

Information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Billing, fraud, security, legal, backup, and audit records may be retained longer where required or reasonably necessary. Relay uses access controls, encryption in transit, signed payment webhooks, owner-scoped database rules, and other safeguards, but no system is risk-free.

Your choices and requests

You can change many profile and workspace details in My Relay, export your workspace, manage billing through Stripe, and unsubscribe from optional email where offered. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information, or appeal a denied request.

Email privacy@peprelay.com. Relay may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children and international use

Relay is intended for adults age 18 or older and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If Relay learns that an under-18 user provided personal information, it will take reasonable steps to delete it. Relay currently operates from the United States. If you access it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States under applicable safeguards.
